This week's assignment was to create a machine that can make machines and involved group work. As the Harvard team, we decided to make a glow in the dark UV art printer and use a flashlight as the end effector. Since we can control the machine in the X and Y axes we are able to "draw" monochrome image designs onto a glow in the dark surface, control the Z axis to change stroke width, and turn the flashlight on and off with an additional actuator. It will seem invisible until you turn off the light. We also split the project into three parts: machining, programming, and assembly, and I was a part of the assembly group.
